Prime Timers of Central Florida Celebrates 22nd Anniversary

Forty-two members and two guests attended the 22nd annual Anniversary Dinner of Prime Timers of Central Florida on August 12 at Golden Corral, 7251 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando.

Member Claude Aube was presented with the dedicated service and leadership award for his longtime service to the club. Claude serves as publicity chairman on the club's Board of Directors. He is known as the "Birthday Man" because he calls or e-mails every member on his birthday to wish him a Happy Birthday.

Three members were honored for their milestone membership anniversaries. Edwin Barnes and Gregg Voci have been members for 10 years. Another member who must remain anonymous was recognized for being a member for 20 years. He received a free year of membership.

The dinner's featured guest, Michael Stone, brought greetings from Prime Timers Worldwide. Michael serves as president of Prime Timers Worldwide.

The evening's festivities wrapped up with selecting the winners of the 50/50 raffle and four $25 gift card prizes. Member Michael Benton won $71 in the 50/50 raffle. Winners of the $25 gasoline gift cards were Chuck Smith and Gregg Voci. Hank Pyssler and Leroy Williams won the $25 restaurant gift cards.

Member Harry Acres who lives in Arabi, Georgia, brought ten 9x9x12 boxes filled with non-perishable food with him to donate to Hope and Help Center of Central Florida. Prime Timers has had food drives on two previous occasions for the Hope and Help Center's food bank.
